Triangle Venture Capital Group

Triangle Venture Capital Group is a German-based venture capital partnership currently managing €80 million in funds and focusing on investments in spin-offs from universities and research centers primarily active in the information and communication technology (ICT) and medical device industries. The Partners as well as the Board of Advisors have accomplished numerous investment transactions and have many years of experience in: - high-tech industry, - IP/license law, - applied sciences/research facilities, - establishing and developing companies and finance. This experience provides an important competitive advantage for investments in high-tech companies. Triangle is one of the few venture capital firms with an exclusive focus on investments in spin-offs from universities and research centers in Germany. Since its inception in 1997, Triangle has advised four funds: Fund I, which started investing in 1999, Funds II and III, parallel funds with vintage year 2001 and Fund IV with vintage year 2006. The four funds have invested in 15 start-up companies with Triangle investing as lead investor in all portfolio companies and completing more than 100 transactions including follow-on funding rounds and exits. Some €100 million has been committed to these companies, including funds from co-investors as well as Triangle-advised funds. Currently, Triangle is continuing investing its Fund IV.
