Every agreement has multiple stakeholders. Recruitment placements are between an employer and an employee. So why triple edge? Why not double edge? What is the 3rd edge? The 3rd edge is the aspect that most recruiters overlook….at their peril. Allow me to explain. My view is that every hire is 50% skill fit and 50% environment fit. You could hire the most talented person available but if they are not culturally correct for your business, they will become a bad addition to the business. They could also have a much wider negative impact on your organisation. As the saying goes ‘A bad apple spoils the whole bunch’ In the same way, the employee needs to think of the external forces when they decide to accept a new opportunity. How will it affect their personal life? How will it affect the commitments they have outside of the office? Does the new role require a change of location? At Triple Edge Solutions, we think of all aspects of the agreement to make sure that it suits all parties. If the agreement does not benefit all parties today, it will end up not suiting any of the parties in the future. An additional definition for Triple Edge is Past, Present and Future. Every potential hire is assessed by what they did in the past, what they are currently doing in the present and what they are capable of in the future. On the flip side, every opportunity and the company it is with is viewed by the interested individual by what the company has done in the past, what they are achieving presently and the brightness of the future plus career path and scope for growth.
