It was in 1985 that Giridhar Sarraf had moved to Surat (the then up and coming textile hub of india) to set up Sakambari Silk Mills. He had started manufacturing synthetic Sarees under the brand name - Triveni Sarees. This brand grew wider with Giridhar’s sons Shailesh and Arvind joining him in his business of Saree making. Triveni has since expanded, having set up TriveniSarees.com – which now catered to not only the whole of India, but also introduced Triveni to the world.
