TRL was founded in 1990 as an engineering office for mechanical and software engineering. Mainly providing solutions for computer-aided manufacturing machines in the shoe industry sector. In 1992 a solution for computer numerical controlled manufacturing of shoe lasts was developed, where the last was split in two halves, where the hinge is mounted, so that after assembly the shoe last was completely CNC machined in a high accuracy, including heel and toe. In 1995 TRL could offer the complete product range from CNC-digitizing machines and CNC-milling machines for shoe last development and production. In 1998 starting an own production of CNC-last milling machines in the company location in Pirmasens. In 2000 relocation to a bigger factory was necessary to meet the steadily growing demand on CNC machines, mainly for shoelast production and model making. Introduction of the TPM machine in the year 2002, which could produce two different pairs of shoe lasts at the same time, with a cycle time to finish the lasts of only 2min. ..... many years and projects later .... Development of a solution for the manufacturing of shoe lasts in one cycle also on heel and toe for highest accuracy on the whole last. In 2019 the LM-01 machine was first introduced, optimized for orthopedic shoe lasts and lasts with difficult shapes. Extremely compact design to fit in any development room and very easy to use. In 2020 the LM-02 machine was introduced being able to produce a completely finished pair of shoe lasts in one cycle.
