Truckstop Group

Truckstop began serving the commercial vehicle industry in January 1985. The company started by providing replacement airbrake equipment and offering a brake relining service. Hence the name 'Truckstop'. Since then other lines were added year by year to include, batteries, mudwings, lighting, wire, filters, trailer parts etc. At the start of 1992, Truckstop acquired the business of Hawkes Truck Supplies, a company founded in 1969 to service the bodybuilding and main dealer network with a range of products that include fibreglass air management kits, mouldings, cargo control and towing parts. In the absence of any inspired ideas!, the combined company started working together as 'Truckstop-Hawkes' from the expanded premises in Redditch. Many of the products offered by the two companies have complimented each other. National distribution is handled by two major carriers who collect daily, to compliment the fleet of 14 delivery vans that operate in and around the midlands.
