Our mission at TruDiary is to change the narrative and build an ecosystem where quality maternal and reproductive care is accessible to all BIPOC women, regardless of community or circumstance, helping to increase favorable health outcomes for women and their families.
WHO WE ARE:
TruDiary is a Maternal and Reproductive Health company that supports BIPOC women who have limited access to health information and resources that put them at an increased risk for maternal and reproductive complications. With the help of technology, the company connects BIPOC women to culturally appropriate health literacy education and content, advocacy support and Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) services to ensure successful outcomes before, during and after pregnancy. SDOH services include:
- Doula support
- Pediatric support
- Nutrition services
WHY WE EXIST:
There’s a lack of access to key health literacy information and resources, which put BIPOC women at increased risk for maternal and reproductive complications.
Our web-based application allows women to easily access health literacy education, choose an advocate and unlock Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) resources, helping to close the gap in maternal health inequities.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT:
We have a keen awareness that there are different levels to health access based on who you are and race, where you live and your knowledge level of the healthcare environment. Because of this, we are the only company that looks at maternal health through the lens of Black women that feel the impact of being ignored or dismissed, not having basic information explained and no accountability from medical staff, which places us at a disadvantage in the first place. We take this knowledge and apply it in order to offer:
- Timely access to culturally appropriate health literacy information that saves lives
- Equity advocates to get women’s voices heard
- Bespoke network of key resources that create a lining of safety for BIPOC
