True Balancing LLC develops leading-edge cell balancing systems. Our technologies completely eliminate out-of-balance conditions in any battery regardless of size of battery, cell chemistry (yes! any cell chemistry), age of battery and condition of the cells. This yields many improvements in battery performance, including: • Maximize available battery capacity • Significantly extend battery life • Compensate for thermal gradients in the pack • Maintain perfect balance even with frequent fast charging Our technologies are a fraction of the cost of any commercially available active balancing system. They support sustained balancing currents up to 50A. They operate more efficiently than any commercially available balancing system (passive or active), so they generate very little heat. Additionally, our technologies can provide real-time data on impedance of every cell in the series stack at multiple frequencies ranging from 1kHz down to 20mHz. This provides valuable information on the health of the battery and can give early warning of cells going bad. This can be the difference between performing preventive maintenance vs experiencing catastrophic battery failure.
