The True Blue Gala is a black-tie dinner that proudly supports FightMND, to raise awareness and funds for treatment of Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Run by a passionate committee with a deep connection to the cause.
The True Blue Gala is held in honour and memory of Dr Daniel Lane - the inspiration behind it all. A devoted husband, father, friend, sportsman and medical professional, Daniel really did embody what it means to be 'True Blue'. His journey was marked by resilience and courage, and an unwavering loyalty and dedication to his family and friends. Even after his passing in 2023, his spirit lives through his words that ignite our determination: "You either get busy living, or get busy dying."
The Gala is more than just an event; it's a heartfelt initiative with a dual purpose:
1. To honour those affected by MND, directly or indirectly, and
2. To raise funds and awareness to support finding effective treatments and ultimately a cure for MND so that no other family has to endure the heartbreak caused by this disease
