Most financial advisors earn their living by selling financial products like life insurance or mutual funds, or by actively managing client portfolios. In recent years, technology and competition have made nearly all of these products and services available at a significantly lower cost to consumers who purchase directly. This has created a challenge for families who want to work with an advisor, but don't want to overpay for financial products.
At True Square Financial, we turn the traditional model on its head. Instead of selling financial products, we sell advice and expertise. We help clients wring unnecessary costs out of their financial services relationships. We act as fiduciaries, which means we put our clients' interests ahead of our own, always. In recommending actions to our clients, we seek to understand the full breadth of their financial life: family, career, spending and saving, tax, investments, education, insurance, and estate plans.
Some of our clients choose to delegate responsibility for investment management to us, while others prefer to implement the investment strategies themselves. Regardless, we charge clients a monthly subscription fee based on the agreed scope of work. Because we do not charge based on assets, we have no minimum account size.
