Trust Chicago

Trust Chicago was a giving circle that built collective power through collective giving. Our members chose to donate their own money to a pooled fund to invest in grassroots organizations in Chicago working to advance environmental justice, gender equity, and racial justice. Trust Chicago made grants for three cycles between 2022 - 2025. We offer general operating grants to small to mid-size (<$2M operating budgets), high-impact organizations within our three focus areas. We prioritize organizations with a focus on systemic change to create long-term, sustainable solutions! We follow best practices around trust-based philanthropy and community development. We are currently recruiting our inaugural cohort of members! Member requirements: must be under 35 years old, commit to attending semi-annual meetings, participate in at least 3 learning and volunteering events per year, and commit to contributing a meaningful portion of annual gross income to the fund.
