TrustWorks™ was an Enterprise Knowledge Management system, which enabled members of a private, trusted community to find expertise and trade advice. There were options for anonymity, for sensitive inquiries. Deployments were customized, with a taxonomy of skills unique to each enterprise. TrustWorks provided an alternative for "email to all" or posting to a high-traffic social network. By maintaining a database of "who knows what", the system enabled members of an organization to ask questions to a single knowledgeable individual rather than interrupting a whole team. The unique anonymity feature also enabled asking for help with potentially embarrassing situations, like a need for a particular type of lawyer or doctor, or seeking support for a psychological issue or a family problem. The technology was implemented as Multi-Tenant SaaS, primarily on a LAMP stack. Seed funding was provided by the founders, followed by a round of Angel Investment.
