At Hearlix, we provide our clients with high quality solutions for those who wear face masks. Our customers range from those who have difficulties with taking their masks off to having the issue of the mask straps dislodge hearing aids or jewelry worn on the ears upon removal. Hearlix started with helping a family member who wore hearing aids remove his face mask. Removing the mask could cause the mask's straps to snag onto the hearing aid and pull it out. The family member knew that hearing aids were expensive medical devices if they needed to be replaced. To find a solution for this problem we first considered a specially designed mask, to allow for easy removal. This idea didn’t go too far since we did not have the starting capital to manufacture a specially designed face mask. This led to another solution which was to create a device, called CLiP, that could be attached to the mask straps themselves allowing people to remove their face mask with confidence. Another added bonus to this design was that the device could attach to almost every commonly available mask out on the market. Later through customer trials we realized that these devices didn’t have to be limited to people who wore hearing aids, but it could be applied for people wearing jewelry around their ears.
