Emerging soft skills Over the years, everyone has mostly concentrated on hard skills - demonstratable technical abilities learnt through study or experience - as the ingredients to achieving success. We see this in job applications where hard skills are the benchmark for entry into a profession, necessary for career progression and as a marker for personal development. However, in recent years there has become an awareness that success is more than technical abilities, and everyone recognises soft skills – interpersonal skills, attitudinal and innate behavioural trait - as the architect for change, development and success. TSE in Asia Asia’s reputation as an international business hub has been growing thanks to its expanding buoyant and prosperous economies. Taiwan has been capitalising on the increasing investment in Asia by opening its door to increased global commerce. Its tech industry, industrial manufacturing and export of electronics, machinery and petrochemicals marks it as a rising star in Asia and the world. While nations are seeing Economic decline, Taiwan has seen a 2.54% GDP growth for 2020 according to Taiwan News and a projected 3.82% for 2021. Taiwan is a highly lucrative market, and TSE will invest by providing an innovative soft skills training programme for workforce development comparable to major developed countries.
