With our humble beginnings tracing back to Franklin, and with insurance roots dating back to the ‘40s, TSL Insurance Group has come a long way to become the regional agency that operates today. Our recent history includes the merger of two Franklin agencies in 1987 to form the Hebert & Thomson Insurance Agency. In 1999, John Smith opened the doors to our Lafayette office and in 2004 the addition of Jim Leach gave us Thomson, Smith & Leach. In 2005, we further expanded our footprint in the south-central Louisiana region with the acquisition of the Marshall and Edwards Agency in Abbeville. Now boasting three operating offices and a client base of 5,000 individuals and companies, our growth can be accredited to our commitment to service, solutions, and results. Hebert & Thomson began its affiliation with the Northlake Insurance Group in 1998. This affiliation has not only given us membership to one of Louisiana’s oldest and largest cluster agencies, but it has also afforded us access and preferred standing with the finest insurance companies operating within the state. Our commercial division focuses on all lines of coverage with a broad client mix comprised of retailers, wholesale distributors, oilfield companies and contractors, health care companies, manufacturers, residential and commercial contractors, and public entities and services. On the personal lines side, we provide home, auto, renters, personal watercraft, life, and health options through various carriers.
