Our history starts in 1955 with the title of John Mullem Consulting Engineering Company. Two years later, the title was changed to Solid Mechanics Laboratory after affiliation with the Budget and Plan Ministry of Iran. Base on cabinet decision, the company was transferred to Ministry of Road and Transportation in 1971 and renamed to Technical and Soil Mechanics Laboratory (TSML) Co. Certificate of incorporation of TSML was approved by Iranian Parliament in April, 1984. TSML was registered with the number of 65535 on 1978/06/01 by Company Registration General Office. With more than 60 years of experience, TSML Co. is nationally recognized as an excellent governmental agent in the quality control affairs, investigation of physical, mechanical and chemical properties of soil, rock and construction materials and geotechnics. TSML Co. of today with more than 2500 technicians and specialist engineers in geotechnics and construction materials tests extends its presence in an across broad range of the local and national construction works. This company is organized into a headquarters in Tehran, 31 provincial offices, each has their own branches and local divisions.
