PRIMECH stands for PRogramme of Innovation in MECHanics education. We aim at innovating the TU Delft Mechanics education at Bachelor-level. We do this by fostering the Mechanics Teachers Social Club, a community of practice. Our goal is for Mechanics teachers to meet, share teaching experiences and collaborate on exciting new education projects.
Mechanics is a core subject in most of the bachelor curricula of TU Delft. Mechanics courses are provided across 7 of the 8 faculties of TU Delft faculties by more than 70 mechanics teachers. Yet, mechanics is becoming an ever more challenging subject to teach. The content is complex, the growth of the universities leads to bigger student groups and we want students to gain a deeper understanding than just knowing how to pass the exam.
