Tufts Latin American Committee

The Latin American Committee (LAC) is a student-led organization under Tufts' Institute for Global Leadership dedicated to promoting learning and discourse on cultural, social, political, historical and economic affairs in Latin America through a variety of events and initiatives that foster interest and awareness about the region. We execute our mission through bi-weekly discussions on current events in Latin America, panels and presentations by experts and leading practitioners, two annual symposiums with high-profile guest speakers, and a Spring fact-finding trip to a country in Latin America (this year, Colombia). In addition, we also work closely with other Latin American student groups in the Boston area to organize and support events and conferences such as the annual Colombian Conference with student groups from Harvard, MIT, and BU, as well as the Latin American Forum with student groups in Babson.
