Tuljai Foundation

Tuljai Foundation aims to help underprivileged families to have a better life while at the same time giving the youth of today an opportunity to learn, grow, and feel like what they do will make a difference. This foundation was started up by Tuljai Parkar during her final year of engineering after she had raised $12,000 during the Miss Universe New Zealand competition and sponsored 3 underprivileged kids. "When you give money to charity, you want to know where it's actually going to, who it's actually helping, and how it is helping" - Tuljai Parkar "My goal for 'Tuljai Foundation' is to create community projects such as an irrigation system for a rural Indian village to bring fresh water to villages so that the farmers can grow crop, and so that we can stop all those farmers from committing suicide due to water related problems and leaving their young children to look after themselves, or a sweater making workshop at a library that will provide sweaters to keep underprivileged children warm in the cold New Zealand winter" Anyone and everyone can help, by donating time to help run these projects, or money to provide the financial backing to these projects To know more about how you can help, please contact the director, Tuljai Parkar on LinkedIn
