Tulpar Arge was founded in 2018. The main areas of the expertise of the company are smart material technologies and robotics. Since its foundation, Tulpar Arge has won numerous awards and grants with its unique solutions, including the first place prize in METU Teknokent New Ideas New Businesses competition and a grant in IsDB Transformers 2018.
Tulpar Arge’s smart materials solution, Buyan Self-Sealing Ballistic Coating is a coating that is applied to the outer surfaces of fuel tanks. If the coating and the fuel tank are punctured by a bullet or shrapnel, the coating self-seals itself and the hole on the fuel tank immediately and prevents leakage. The development of the product was given financial support from The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) under the programs code numbered 1512 and 1507 respectively.
Since 2019 Tulpar Arge has been working on electro optics and robotics. Tulpar offers 3 axis gimbals for multi-rotor and fixed wing UAVs. The unmanned ground vehicle developed by Tulpar Robotic Team was awarded in Roboik 2019 Competition organized by Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries.
