TulumcoinDAO

The main purpose of the community cryptocurrency, Tulumcoin, is to circulate money in the community and to create a stream of funding for regenerative projects in Tulum. We operate as a Wyoming LLC with a DAO structure backed by a Mexican civil association. The Tulumcoin symbol is TLM. Tulumcoin is positioning itself as a community currency for all of Tulum and beyond. It is intended for use with any service or product exchange transaction in the Tulum municipality and abroad with providers that have a vested interest in Tulum, or that simply care about and are concerned about the future of this sacred Mayan land. A percentage of each transaction will be allocated to a Regenerative projects Fund. Projects will be voted on by the DAO's community members. Tulumcoin can be used for in-person and online transactions amongst network partners. It will also be tradable on selected DEXs. Alternative currency systems can lead to vast political-economic transformation including the relocalization of economies, decentralization of power, establishment of strong community bonds, and potentially to the more just and sustainable use of natural resources. Tulumcoin network partners are enterprises, businesses, service providers, organizations, and any companies, or entities that accept TLM as a currency for selected or all transactions within their purview. All network partners must agree to the standard Tulumcoin Network Agreement, which will specify their fee schedule, as well as benefits and incentives for joining the network. We are in the process of developing specific components of Tulumcoin and will soon be onboarding merchants into our network.
