Tumeke Studio is a Māori owned, independent R&D-driven game and systems studio building the tools and stories of tomorrow. We operate at the intersection of game development and intelligent backend systems, with a clear mission: To empower indigenous creators through modular, AI-assisted infrastructure and bring complex, indigenous stories to life through interactive games and media. Our work spans two tightly integrated streams: Platform Engineering We're developing a UE5-compatible backend platform inspired by enterprise data frameworks (e.g., Salesforce), purpose-built to manage large-scale, relational world data. This platform handles everything from procedural content generation and persistent world logic to dynamic dialogue and emergent faction behavior. Game Development Our upcoming flagship title showcases the power of our tools in action. It is a post-industrial-collapse survival sandbox built around adaptive ecosystems, self-aware NPCs, and a living world that remembers.
