TUMI Ghana

TUMI Ghana is a non-profit organization that creates sustainable income opportunities for women in Kumasi. TUMI Ghana gives them the chance to become a fashion designer and thus offers the security of their own income, with which they can secure their own and their children's future. The fashion program includes lessons in: sewing, designing, customer service, accounting, financial health and marketing. In addition to the fashion program, sexual education and free family planning are also offered. The goal is to become self-sufficient, not only for the women who participate, but also for the project itself. That is why TUMI Ghana opened a hostel that generates income to finance the project. Local people are also trained in the hostel so that they can have a future in tourism. All products made during the lessons can also be purchased in the hostel and in the Netherlands.
