Tuminda

Tuminda is a multinational company founded in Zimbabwe. Our goal is to empower African farmers by providing them with access to international markets. We work with small and medium enterprise farms, from family- run operations to large commercial farms, and strive to improve the livelihoods of farmers and build capacity within the agricultural sector. “Tuminda” is the Shona word for a collective of small farms, and so we believe that working with small and medium enterprises is essential to developing the agricultural sector in Africa. We are committed to providing our farmers with the resources they need to succeed, and to creating a sustainable, efficient, and equitable food system. Tuminda aims to help small-scale farmers to access the export market for their fresh produce. Tuminda works with the farmers in out-grower programs to grade and package produce, to supply local and regional markets, as well as export to the EU and UK markets. Combined with helping farmers to get their produce to market, Tuminda provides knowledge and support so that farmers can learn how to deliver on fruit and vegetables that meet global quality standards.
