Türk Nippon Sigorta A.Ş. is established on May 1, 1991, with a capital of 25 million TL, under partnership of Development Bank of Turkey and Nippon Fire & Marine, the largest Insurance Company of Japan.
Türk Nippon Sigorta went through a major change in capital structure on October 1998 with its 85.22% shares being acquired by Sümerbank, other partners being the Development Bank of Turkey with 10% share and Nippon Fire & Marine with 4.78% share.
In 2000, 96.24% of shares of Türk Nippon Sigorta are transferred to Saving Deposits Insurance Fund, followed by being purchased by HNS Group in October 2001 which owned the company until November 2008, after which the majority of its shares is purchased by Harel Group.
Since 2008, Türk Nippon Sigorta continues its insurance activities by combining the support and power of Harel Group with its own dynamic and professional team.
