Turn it Around is a fledgling Community Interest Company (NOT FOR PROFIT)
Our primary aim is to offer creative mentoring support to girls and young women in crisis, those who have entered the Youth Justice System or who are at risk of re-entering YOS.
Using an experienced Youth & Community work approach, offering those who wish to voluntarily engage with weekend mentoring, Turn it Around can help the participants to develop creative networks, positive decision making and self advocacy.
Turn it Around has been commissioned to run a pilot scheme, targetting young women who have LAC status. (Looked After Children).
We are currently supporting a group to make a film called 'Positive Change for Liver Kids' . This project has given focus to the journey for several Liverpool young women over a three year period. Looking at their situation then labelled as Young Offenders to the interventions that have helped them move to a brighter present. Now they are training as Peer Mentors and making films : )
We are currently operating in Bootle , offering Mindfulness and creative sessions to young people we gather from the streets through our detached programme.
