TUSAYU

TUSAYU, or the Turkish Student Association at York University, is a student-run organization that aims to promote and celebrate Turkish culture, language, and community at York University and beyond. Established in 2023, TUSAYU has grown to become one of the largest and most active cultural clubs on campus, with a diverse membership of students from various backgrounds and disciplines. At TUSAYU, we believe in fostering a sense of community and belonging among Turkish students and those interested in Turkish culture. We organize a variety of events and initiatives throughout the year, including cultural celebrations, guest speaker events, community service projects, and social outings. Our events are designed to showcase the richness and diversity of Turkish culture, while also providing opportunities for members to connect and network with one another. In addition to our on-campus activities, TUSAYU is also actively engaged with the wider Turkish-Canadian community in Toronto and the surrounding areas. We regularly collaborate with other cultural and community organizations to promote cross-cultural understanding and awareness, and to advocate for issues that affect the Turkish community.
