Twende Green Ecocycle

Twende Green Ecocycle is a social enterprise tackling Kenya’s marine plastic waste crisis by transforming plastic waste from informal settlements into eco-friendly furniture such as school furniture. Our mission is to reduce pollution while enhancing educational accessibility through durable, affordable furniture. Since our inception, we have grown into a recognized leader in sustainable waste management, receiving accolades like the Mombasa Plastics Prize by Challenge Works UK and the Best Innovation in Mombasa from the Mombasa Youth Business Awards. We prioritize sustainability, inclusivity, and education, and our operations include community awareness campaigns and monthly beach cleanups.
