Samantha Ahern is an inclusive, innovative, determined, and passionate leader with over 15 years of experience working in regulated clinical laboratory, toxicology, genomics, medical device and pharma companies. She has been a champion for building brand new high performing global teams and processes. Her teams have been catalysts of change within orgs allowing for a shift in quality culture to position the companies for ISO certification and FDA registration to gain more market share and product reach. She formed the first Employee Resource Group (ERG) at her last organization for women’s leadership and mentoring as promoting diversity, equity and inclusion is a passion of hers. She serves in various mentoring roles and speaking engagements to give back and advance women in the STEM community. She strives to create environments where all individuals can thrive and builds bridges between groups that never existed previously. She holds her MBA from the Rady School of Management, UC San Diego and her BS in Biochemistry from UC San Diego. She serves as a Board Director for Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), Sun Never Sets, and UC Riverside Transformative Leadership Program. She was a part of the Connect XEO Inaugural Class of Innovative and Diverse Leaders in San Diego and she now leads the Alumni group to elevate over 100 leaders in the area. She is an ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and LSS Green Belt, holds an ISO 14971 Medical Device Risk Management Certificate and is a Certified Toxicologist Scientist. Selected for MyStartupXX Female Startup accelerator at UCSD Rady School of Management for her ThrIV medical device.
