Two Trying Birds

Two Trying Birds is a non-for-profit platform for sharing and supporting others who may have some concerns over how much they drink. It is led by Jennifer O'Donnell & Carlotta Allum who are part of a growing movement of people working to redefine their relationship with alcohol. Two Trying Birds is a podcast, radio show, social media platform & a community support programme to authentically engage with an audience. Our vision is to create a society that can openly debate its relationship with alcohol and where the solutions around moderation or abstinence can be tried, tested and reviewed without judgement. We want to boost the national conversation to change the cultural stigma around alcohol and its misuse in a fun and accessible way and particularly for those that consistently drink over the unit guidelines. We will connect and collaborate with people and organisations that are already in the conversation and can offer support and advise on the issue and point people in the direction of where they can find local support. We will shine a spotlight on behaviours and actions that do not help and discuss ways to shift the cultural norms. We will positively challenge the alcohol industry to provide low alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks and drinking/social spaces that match their alcohol counterparts.
