TWU SMIF

The TWU Student Managed Investment Fund aims to provide the elite current and future students with hands-on training and experience in equity valuation and portfolio management. Additionally, profits earned within the fund will be allocated to specified charity’s and projects on an annual basis, as we seek to have an impact beyond the walls of TWU. With this fund, we aim to highlight TWU’s ability to compete with the top universities across North America. The Fund is committed to using a long-term value investing strategy to invest in stocks that are currently valued below its intrinsic value. For each stock, we conduct technical analysis and fundamental analysis. On top of using a value investing approach, we will also be taking a bottom-up approach where we will begin with the individual asset and then work towards the economic outlook.
