The Type 1 Action Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization which was founded in 2016 with the main purpose of helping people with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) get assistance with any legal issues that they are facing which are related to their diabetes.
The Type 1 Action Foundation actively engages in various educational seminars and speaking engagements both to educate the diabetes community so that they are more aware of their rights, and also to educate people who do not have T1D about the disease in an effort to lessen any discrimination that may occur.
The Type 1 Action Foundation is also engaged in lobbying efforts for legislation to help diabetics get more help and protection under the laws including to make obtaining supplies for the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes more accessible.
