Type 1 BETTER is a patient-oriented scientific project bringing together people who live with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and parents of children with T1D (called patient partners), researchers, health professionals and decision-makers. Its mission is to better understand the lived experience of Canadians living with T1D, in order to improve their quality of life, the clinical practices and T1D treatments. At the heart of the project is the Better registry, the first registry of Canadians living with T1D, whose real-life data are feeding many research projects to help better understand this condition.
