U-LAUNCH: IT is the parent company of U-LAUNCH: Childhood Development Homes. U-LAUNCH: IT is made up of Virginia licensed programs that either sponsor or approve individuals or entities as members of its licensed homebased programs. U-LAUNCH: Childhood Development Homes became Hampton Roads only Virginia Licensed Family Day System as of 4/4/2024 to approve homes as our associated Childhood Development Homes, refer a maximum of 9 children to each associated childhood development home, refer children to available health & social services; as well as provide background checks for our providers, professional development training, technical assistance and consultation, inspections, supervision, monitoring and administrative duties. Individuals interested in opening a home-based childcare no longer have to go through the state to become licensed they have the option to operate under U-LAUNCH: Childhood Development Homes system's license.
