U.S.S Engineering (Pvt)Ltd. commenced industrial operations in 1980, and ventured into diverse engineering fields over the past 35 years. It possesses expertise in a vast range of engineering fields, mainly in the Manufacture, Fabrication and Galvanizing of steel products, Manufacture of reinforced concrete poles, Batching of ready-mix concrete, Construction of highways and commercial buildings, Assembly (imminently embarking on manufacture) of water meters, Power transmission and distribution, and in Telecommunication Projects. Company is accredited with ISO 9000 : 2008 Standard for Quality Management System, CIDA (ICTAD) gradings C-2 for construction and EM-1 for Steel Fabrication, Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering. And company achieves an average annual turnover of LKR 1.0 Billion. The Company caters to the domestic market, and has already accessed the international market, by exporting steel hardware items to countries namely, Norway, Ruwanda, Nigeria and Yemen, and has been able to save foreign exchange to the value of LKR 500 Million per annum for the Sri Lankan Government. Apart from the products, the Company offers its services, such as steel fabrication, hot dip galvanizing, road construction, building construction, power & telecom outside plant and tower line construction, electrical installation, and import and supply of telecom, Import & supply of electrical and water supply accessories, and industrial chemicals. The Company possesses a total permanent work-force of approximately 650 employees, who are highly qualified in their respective disciplines in the fields of engineering, accountancy and management. Today, the company possesses two fully equipped steel hardware factories, four reinforced concrete poles manufacturing yards, a fleet of over forty motor vehicles, and proudly employs over 500 personnel, in categories ranging from highly qualified competent professionals.
