About Graduate Student Government of The University of Akron
The Graduate Student Government of The University of Akron is a student organization that works through the Graduate Executive Council and Graduate Senate, which is the official representative body for all graduate students at the University of Akron. The purpose of the Graduate Student Government is to govern the affairs of graduate students in a manner specified by its constitution and bylaws; to determine the sentiment of all levels of graduate students and the representation of sentiment at all levels of the University administration; to encourage social contacts between graduate students of all disciplines. Our Mission: The Graduate Student Government of The University of Akron, hereby set forth to structure an effective representative graduate student government in the interests of all substantive matters pertaining to the general welfare of The University of Akron graduate students, with the intention of providing advocacy in the formulation and application of University and community policies, and with the ambition of enhancing the quality of life for all graduate students, hereby institute Graduate Student Government at The University of Akron.
