UATIP - UNIVERSIDADE DO AUTODIDACTA E DA TERCEIRA IDADE DO PORTO

UATIP started its activities in March 1991, in temporary installations. It was the first Senior University in the city of Porto, founded by Maria Teresa Mota. On November 8, 1994, it obtained its own premises, provided by the Porto City Council, a house at Rua da Constitution, 944. 23 teachers work on this project with qualifications corresponding to the subjects taught, all of whom are active. In addition to the regular curricular activities, tours around the country and abroad, lectures with guest speakers, trips to the Theater and Museums and various visits to spaces in the city of Porto are organized. At the end of each academic year, a Cultural Week takes place, organized with the support of our teachers, associates and guests, during which all activities are open to the entire school community. This activity aims to provide students with greater interaction, deepening the relationships between all, teachers and students.
