Academic Union of Architecture, Urbanism and Restoration History It was a time around 2015 when we sat down and talked about the burning desire of architecture, urbanism and restoration students to be part of a bigger community, to learn more and be responsible for changes. Then we talked with professors and students in different universities all around Iran and finally got the permission from the Ministry of Science to start a new foundation named “UAUR” (Academic Union of Architecture, Urbanism and Restoration of Iran). That was us. We were born… Mission Statement What do we want to achieve? “The union is dedicated to promoting better understanding of the various aspects of Iran and the Persian and vernacular architecture and culture.” Now how do we do that? We try to communicate with all the universities and their collegiate organizations around the globe and invite them to Iran and collaborate with them. The collaboration can include:  Organizing courses providing international diplomas  Organizing conferences and seminars to teach students the latest technology Organizing the first national gathering of the restoration community  Organizing national and international competition Designing the Azadi square of Kerman, Iran. Designing a statuette c the union.  Organizing national and international exhibitions  Publishing an international magazine Publishing a journal regarding the latest issues of architecture, urbanism and restoration  Exchange students for research opportunities  Enhancing international credibility of the union Membership Membership of UAUR is voluntary and free.
