UBC is a voluntary, proactive network of cities mobilizing the shared potential of around 100 member cities for democratic, economic, social, cultural and environmentally sustainable development of the Baltic Sea Region.
The backbone of UBC`s practical, goal-oriented work is carried out by the member cities through active cooperation in the seven thematic UBC Commissions: Cultural Cities, Inclusive and Healthy Cities, Planning Cities, Safe Cities, Smart and Prospering Cities, Sustainable Cities, and Youthful Cities.
