Umid Babek Operating Company

Umid Babek Operating Company (UBOC) is an oil and gas company incorporated in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2017. The company engages in oil and gas – exploration, production and operation activities in high-pressure Umid gas-condensate field and Babek prospective structure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. Umid and Babek offshore block is situated in the South of Caspian Sea, 75 km of SE Baku at water depth of 60-650 m. The current focus is on shallow water development of Umid field and exploration of Babek prospective structure. UBOC’s long-term plan involves exploration and development of deep-water regions and reservoirs deeper than currently penetrated.
