At Ubuntu Landscape Architecture, we are passionate facilitators dedicated to fostering connections between children, people, and places. We believe that healthy, resilient children are the cornerstone of vibrant communities, and our mission is to represent and implement child-centric principles through inspired and creative design. Our approach is rooted in curiosity and openness. We embrace new ideas, especially those from children. We view design as a process of interpretation, collaboration, and execution, informed by our understanding of projects, clients, and each community's unique history, culture, and environment. We merge the art of landscape architecture with a commitment to exploring innovative concepts and promoting the simple pleasures of play and the strength of relationships, which are fundamental to resilience. We see children as active participants and future shapers of their environments, not merely passive recipients of adult decisions. Our goal is to build inclusive, vibrant cities that respond to the aspirations of all inhabitants, with a special focus on the youngest among us. Our services include action research, workshops, child-friendly assessment for places and projects, assisting developers and city officials in creating design guidelines, developing pop-up temporary interventions to test new models, project planning and design, and collaborating with like-minded professionals. By investing in participatory design approaches, we strive to create inclusive, engaging, and responsive spaces for all children, including those who are disadvantaged.
