Ubuntu: an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others' Ubuntu Network, with its hub on WhatsApp, is a space made for you, our colleagues in remote, rural, humanitarian and expedition medicine, to share experiences, collaborate with others working in the field, and connect with the wider community. Our goal is to stimulate group discussion that enables you to share your experiences with like-minded individuals, providing a constructive space for the wilderness medical community to grow and develop through engagement and interactive reflection. Our WhatsApp platform provides access to: 1. Quarterly case-based discussions, conducted remotely, of challenging and interesting cases, with confidential, supportive engagement around the environmental, clinical and human factors that led to decision making.. 2. Analysis of recent published literature in wilderness medicine, through an interactive, digital Journal Club. 3. Dissemination of upcoming events, conferences, webinars relevant to the field of wilderness medicine. 4. A community space for networking, reflection and learning for future practice.
