WHAT DOES 'UBUNTU' MEAN?
The term 'Ubuntu' is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It is often described as reminding us that 'I am what I am because of who we are'. The name was chosen by our founder, Heidi De Wolf, who wanted to ensure the club feels like a community welcome to all.
WHERE CAN I LEARN MORE?
The best way to find out whether the club is the right fit for you is to pay us a visit. We run a quarterly Guest Night open to all, or you can attend any of our regular Club Nights. There is nothing to loose and everything to gain as your first two visits are free of charge. Only if, after your second visit, you feel that the club would add value to you and your goals, than we will ask you to register as a member.

HOW MUCH DOES MEMBERSHIP COST?
Ubuntu Speakers is a not-for-profit club, run by its members for its members. As such, we try to keep our fees down to a minimum. Six months membership is charged at £90, that is £15/month. The fees help the club cover the cost of the venue and our chartering fees to Toastmasters International, who provide our members with access to education pathways and learning resources.
WHEN DOES THE CLUB MEET?
Ubuntu Speakers meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6pm until 8:30pm at Wollaton Park Community Centre, 15 Harrow Road, Nottingham NG8 1FG. Click map for directions via Google maps.
