Student Technology Services (formerly known as Residential Computing) at the University of California - Berkeley is a largely student-run technical support program. It serves undergraduate and graduate students on campus by ensuring that they have reliable network access and responsive, customer-facing technical support for their academic and personal needs. STS is committed to helping students effectively navigate the technology services and resources available at UC Berkeley.
Our organization is driven by a staff that includes over 80 students who provide both frontline support and behind-the-scenes work to deliver critical technology services. Student Technology Services provides extensive technical and management training to its student employees, who come from a wide variety of academic majors and backgrounds. Student Technology Services is supported under the division of Student Affairs - IT at UC Berkeley.
