UC Cooperative Extension San Diego County provides research-based information and education to the residents of San Diego County in the areas of agriculture, natural resources, nutrition, and youth development. We aim to help farmers of different cultures and farming operations, often with limited resources, by providing them with field and marketing research aimed at their needs. We also provide assistance to low-income youth and families through the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), to acquire knowledge and skills necessary to choose nutritionally sound diets and to contribute to their personal development and the improvement of total family diet and nutritional welfare. In addition, we provide resources and information for Integrated Pest Management (IPM), gardening enthusiasts, nursery operators, and climate resilient agriculture.
