The purpose of UCD CSTAR is to strengthen research quality by providing advice, consultancy and education in research methodologies to health researchers in Ireland. The remit of CSTAR includes close collaboration with clinical or laboratory researchers across a very wide spectrum of specialties, in order to raise the quality of study design, study protocol development, statistical analysis plans, data collection and management, statistical analysis and report writing.
CSTAR is embedded in the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science on the Belfield campus of University College Dublin. School faculty members associated with the Centre are deeply involved in multiple collaborative research projects both within UCD and across the country and also deliver university accredited modules in research methods and biostatistics for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
