UCD Chemical Engineering Society

Since 1956, over 1400 chemical engineers have graduated from UCD. The growth of chemical engineering at UCD was related to the development of the chemical industry in Ireland. Graduates from this department played and continue to play a major part in the development of the chemical, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors and consequently, the development and growth of the Irish economy. The UCD Chemical Engineering Society represents the oldest chemical engineering course in Ireland. It aims to provide a social outlet, academic support and a foundation for lifelong networks amongst its members, as well as developing and maintaining connections with fellow chemical engineering students from colleges throughout Ireland and the UK.
