Vehicle inspection based on AI Object Detection: It is very important to analyze which persons or vehicles enter or leave your country, your company or your home. Of course, there are numerous techniques that can be applied to check whether someone is allowed to pass or not. With vehicles, there are some bigger challenges. We specialize in analyzing the undersides of vehicles. From passenger cars to trucks to trains. The technique we use for this is Artificial Intelligence Object Detection. Why did we choose this? It is not enough to just give a good overview of the underside of the vehicle, because it needs to be actively looked at and there is usually no time for that. In our opinion, the existing solutions have too many limitations to perform a good, reliable and automated check, which is why we do not consider the outcome of the existing solutions reliable. We have come to the conclusion that it is almost impossible to obtain comparative images of moving vehicles with different heights, positions and lighting in relation to the cameras, which can be compared 1 on 1 with previous images of the same vehicle. For example: A vehicle passes a checkpoint. How likely is it that it crosses the checkpoint exactly in the same position and with the same speed and lighting? We have tested this with no positive result. In order to perform a correct analysis, we have seen that this can be solved with Artificial Intelligence Object Detection technology. Anomalies are detected with a certainty of 94%; people, weapons and packages. This is easy to expand with training sets. This technology can even be used for maintenance purposes.
