Our doctorate in computer science is the oldest computer science Ph.D. program in Florida, as well as the first Ph.D. program at UCF. Our students regularly publish in the top venues of their respective fields and they are sought after by research institutes, universities and industry research labs.
The Department of Computer Science is housed within the College of Engineering and Computer Science, one of 13 colleges at UCF. It is home to the world-renown Center for Research in Computer Vision, which attracts researchers from across the globe. Our researchers are also collaborating with industry partners as well as faculty from other disciplines through the Florida High-Tech Corridor, the UCF School of Modeling and Simulation, the UCF Artificial Intelligence Initiative, the UCF Cyber Security and Privacy Cluster, and more.
