We are UCLA's International Genetically Engineered Machines competition team, and run an undergraduate-led, interdisciplinary synthetic biology research laboratory. We collaborate to design and build novel, useful synthetic organisms as well as foster discussion and interest in synthetic biology in general.
In just three years since its founding, the UCLA iGEM team has succeeded as one of the top US teams with multiple international awards for achievements in therapeutics, genetic parts collections, and manufacturing.
