We are a class at UCLA designed to enhance Vietnamese language skills in the medical context. Our goal is to bridge cultural and language barriers in the future of healthcare, in order to establish comfortability, build trust, and break down the provider-client power dynamic oftentimes seen in contemporary healthcare interactions. Topics that will be covered include basic anatomy, nutrition, mental health, etc... Students with Beginner to Advanced Vietnamese-speaking ability are encouraged to enroll; proficiency in Vietnamese reading and writing is highly encouraged.
